Anyone who knows me, knows I never miss the Toy Show – it is a big shining light of fun, giggles, sparkle and talent every year. Well, what a treat I was in for this year when I spotted my clients – The Bed Angel’s beautiful Angel Pillows – being showcased by the lovely Mia and Ryan.
It really got me thinking – the Toy Show is a wonderful event for kids and families, but it can also have such an invaluable impact for our local, artisan producers. It is a huge testament to the show that they always feature several local Irish toys as those toy makers cannot possibly outspend the big companies.
The angel wings couldn’t have been featured in a more suitable section – with homelessness as such a difficult and heartrending problem for families facing Christmas, it was a delight to see The Bed Angel bring comfort. Of course, the highlight was that amazing surprise trip to Legoland Florida for Mia and her family.
