There has been so much speculation over the years about how society would devolve if there was a huge international crisis. Well, with the Coronavirus outbreak of 2020 what we have seen is much more of communities pulling together while staying apart. Nothing embodies this more than this project. It was a real honour to be a part of bringing this together – connecting coaches with our front line staff who are badly in need of someone to talk to.
Founded by coaches Karen Hayes and Ailbhe Harrington the aim of the website is to take some of the burden off the people who are taking on the biggest responsibility in our society. However, they did not want it to be heavy and unapproachable – this is where Meave Queally of Some Studio weaves her magic – creating a beautiful, bright and inspiring logo for the service.
The website allows the project founders to easily add new coaches and keep coaching profiles up to date – connecting them to their coaching calendars.
It also includes a Frequently asked Questions area as well as a form for contact. The aim of this project was to keep it simple, easy to use and most importantly, timely so it was ready for use as soon as possible.
Massive hats off to everyone who has given freely of their time to bring this project to life. Let’s hope the community spirit and gratefulness is the message we take from this crisis.
