Ballybunion is where I grew up and am so thankful to now call home once again.
The Marine Restaurant has been a stalwarth of Ballybunion for as long as I can remember. It has always been a high quality, family owned and run restaurant with a great bar overlooking the beach. This re-brand and website design is part of an entirely re-designed and updated Marine – Derek Nagle, their son has taken over as head chef and along with manager Elaine Bennet they have brought a modern and exciting new look, feel and taste to the restaurant.
This is one of my favourite places in Ballybunion to sit out with a glass of wine and watch the beautiful sunsets over the castle green.

This project was a real local collective, bringing talented local professionals together to create a beautiful end result that all are very proud of.
As always, branding is at the heart of any great re-design and again, Meave from Some Studio did an incredible job of creating a strong, fresh and timeless brand that still evokes seaside sentiments. She created an entire brand suite of assets for The Marine that can be viewed on her website.
We carefully considered the navigation structure of this website to ensure that all elements of the restaurant were given spotlight from the restaurant, to the bar and the beautiful sea-view accommodation overhead. The backdrop of the castle green is always present in the titles but the content flows clearly between sections and allowed to breath with plenty of whitespace.
